General questions
How do I make an appointment at a Cenas center?
We recommend that you consult your doctor beforehand. Your doctor will need to fill out and send us an evaluation request (consultation or sleep study), which will then be approved by the Cenas doctor. Our office will contact you to schedule an appointment.
What should I do if I have to cancel an appointment?
If you are unable to attend, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Any appointment or examination not canceled at least 24 hours in advance will be billed to you.
CPAP
Is the CPAP machine noisy?
Technological advances have made new CPAP devices almost completely silent, so they won’t disturb your bed partner.
Can I travel with my CPAP machine?
Yes, it is strongly recommended that you continue your CPAP treatment when traveling. Most devices operate between 100 and 240 volts, which means they can be used anywhere abroad. However, remember to always have the right wall plug/adapter for the country you are traveling to.
Are there smaller models for travel?
Yes, there are smaller CPAP devices designed specifically to make traveling easier. For more information, please feel free to contact us.
How often should I clean and replace the components of my CPAP machine?
To make it easier for you to maintain your CPAP device, we have created and made available a guide dedicated to the maintenance and cleaning of your machine.
I am not comfortable with my CPAP machine. Are there other alternatives?
Yes, there are several alternatives to CPAP treatment. However, as each case is different, we recommend that you consult your doctor to determine the most appropriate solution for your situation.
Can I fly with my device?
It is entirely possible to fly with your CPAP machine. However, we recommend that you check your airline’s policy before departure. In most cases, since CPAP machines are considered medical devices, they will not count as extra carry-on baggage.
