About

For this 10th edition, we will place narcolepsy at the heart of our discussions, a rare but debilitating condition that still raises numerous diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Despite major scientific advances in recent decades, narcolepsy often remains underdiagnosed, and patients face a complex life journey.

First, Dr. José Haba-Rubio will discuss the historical and scientific evolution of narcolepsy, from Gélineau’s initial observations to the revolutionary discoveries about the orexinergic system. This lecture will highlight modern diagnostic tools and deepen our understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms.

Second, Dr. Tifenn Raffray will address the human and practical dimension of management. She will present integrated therapeutic approaches, combining pharmacological treatments and non-pharmacological interventions, while emphasizing the importance of a comprehensive approach that takes into account psychological, behavioral, and social aspects to sustainably improve patients’ quality of life.

This conference aims to provide you with an updated and comprehensive view of narcolepsy, combining scientific rigor with practical tools to optimize early diagnosis and personalized management of your patients.
